Our dedicated surgical suite is set apart from the rest of the hospital so we can perform sterile soft-tissue and orthopedic procedures. We are proud to offer laser surgery as a progressive, safer option for our patients. Our CO2 laser replaces the traditional scalpel and allows us to perform many procedures with less pain, less bleeding, less inflammation, and faster healing.
We also employ the services of Douglas C. Forbes, DVM, who has more than 40 years of experience in the veterinary field and a special interest in orthopedics. He graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 1970 and subsequently completed a surgical residency at The University of Melbourne in Australia. Dr. Forbes worked as an orthopedic surgeon and a visiting instructor in the small animal department at the University of the West Indies School of Veterinary Medicine and has been performing referral surgery since 1978.
