Laboratory

Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis, and parasite testing. Our Abaxis equipment requires minimal blood volume to do a complete analysis, which means we can perform these tests with far less blood than is traditionally required (less than a quarter teaspoon). We also use commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. Our laboratory of choice is the True North Veterinary Diagnostics. The laboratory is owned by a charitable trust, True North Veterinary Diagnostic Trust, and all excess profits are distributed to Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)-registered charities at the discretion of the trustees each year.
